NOT FOR SALE http://notforsalecampaign.org is formally allied with Historians Against Slavery.
It is a path-breaking abolitionist NGO that offers enormous
programmatic support for developing abolitionism on our campuses and in
our community. It is a 21st century incarnation of the antislavery
societies so active in the 19th century
It offers historians unprecedented opportunities to share their
scholarship and teaching with on-the-ground activists and to
present/publish it for much expanded audiences.
It offers students faculty, public historians and HAS members
generally multiple opportunities for direct involvement— locally,
nationally and abroad.
Specifically:
Not For Sale underwrites the HAS website—It invites HAS members plan and participate in NFS’s AnnualForum, its highly-acclaimed international conference—It invites HAS members to participate in the NFS Think-Tank, which
develops projects and policy world-wide, nationally and locally for
opposing slavery—It invites HAS members to participate in its Not For Sale Academy, its Backyard Abolitionist Workshops, and several other programs that foster direct involvement. (for specifics see website)
